Biography

Dr. Chattopadhyay is B.Tech in Polymer Science & Technology from University of Calcutta, M.Tech in Polymer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and Ph. D. from Polymer Science Unit, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, University of Calcutta. He is presently serving as Professor in the Department of Polymer Science & Technology, University of Calcutta. He has 20 years of Teaching & Research Experience, 2 years of industrial experience and has published 120 papers in high impact international journals. He has guided 10 Ph.D scholars and presently eight students are working under his supervision. Two post doctoral fellows are working under NPDF and DSKPDF Kothari scheme under his supervision. He has many sponsor projects from Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, University of Calcutta, UGC, DST, DBT, CSIR, TATA Steel and Amar-Sil KETEX Pvt. Ltd. He has done consultancy with Exide, Phillips Carbon Black, Century Ply Wood and Marshall Corporation Ltd. He is President, The Society for Polymer Science, India, Kolkata Chapter. He is Executive Member, MRSI, Kolkata Chapter. He is elected Fellow of The West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology.
